Spanning more than 40,000 acres, Luss is one of Scotland's greatest estates. For some eight centuries it has flourished under the continuous ownership by the Colquhoun family, and today the Luss Estates Company is chaired by the present baronet, Sir Malcolm Colquhoun of Luss.
This unrivalled degree of continuity has enabled the Estate to both evolve and conserve, developing resources and economic opportunity whilst carefully preserving and nurturing the land, the spectacular scenery and the rich habitat.
Our core products and services range from cattle, sheep and timber to power, property, holidays and exceptional experiences. Some of these activities can be traced back to the earliest days of the Estate. Others, such as the hydro electricity scheme, are at the cutting edge of twenty-first century technology. All are undertaken with the greatest respect for the heritage and the long term prosperity of Luss Estates.
