Luss in Bloom - 2026 Winnerss

The winners of the 2026 Luss in Bloom Garden Competition have now been announced, recognising the dedication, creativity, and hard work of local gardeners throughout Luss, Aldochlay and Bandry.

The competition celebrates the beautiful gardens, tubs and hanging baskets that enhance the character and charm of Luss on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. The standard of entries this year was very high, making the judges' task a difficult one.

The competition was judged by Raymond Strachan, Head Gardener at Camstraddan House and Jean Macaulay, who visited the participating gardens throughout the season to assess the entries.

The winners were informed personally by the judges and representatives of Luss Estates Company, who thanked everyone who took part and acknowledged the pride that residents take in their gardens and the contribution they make to the beauty of the local area.

The 2026 winners are:

Best Garden: Rabbie Burns of Aldochlay

Best Tubs: Jennifer Taylor of Highland Arts

Best Hanging Baskets: Duncan Taylor of Ivybank

Lifelong Commitment to Gardening: Maria Clow

Lady Colquhoun would like to congratulate all of this year's winners and thank every resident who participated.

Whether entering the competition or simply taking pride in their outdoor spaces, the efforts of the community help make Luss such a welcoming and attractive place for residents and visitors alike.

The Luss in Bloom competition was originally established by Lady Colquhoun and the late Mrs Pat Everitt, whose passion for gardening and pride in the local community continue to inspire the competition today. Lady Colquhoun also extends her thanks to the judges for giving their time throughout the season to visit and assess the entries.

We look forward to welcoming entrants again next year and continuing to celebrate the outstanding gardening talent within our community.
